Keeping young people engaged in global community development while building their leadership skills is key to our global community’s future. BE A SPONSOR.
Berrin Fellows Program offers international students internships in the Washington, DC area, e.g. Ladislav Machuta (Czech Rep) interned with the Maryland Department of Agriculture, International Marketing Department, and Cristian Toma (Romania) interned with PNC Bank in downtown Washington, DC. The 2007 summer program has selected 5 interns--three (3) from Jinan, China, one (1) from Sofia, Bulgaria, and one (1) from Lagos, Nigeria.
Sponsorships cover air transportation, lodgings, meals, ground transportation, and activities suitable for developing the intern’s network.
This summer fellows program provides international students with summer opportunities with American businesses, government or nonprofit organizations.
BIC needs you to sponsor one of these students:
As a Sponsor you can:
1. Place an Intern in your business or organization for the months of July and August;
2. Donate a $4000.00 sponsorship. The sponsorship covers airfare, meals and a stipend.
3. Contribute any amount to help defray the costs of the program for these young people.
Without your support, these young people may never go beyond their borders and may never have a chance to stretch their wings to become an active and contributing member of the global community—a community which will benefit from a strong pool of aware and talented young leaders.
